I'm Daniel Tieu — a Product Designer based in the Bay Area with 13+ years shipping products across health tech, AI, finance, and retail.

My most recent chapter was at Doctronic, an AI health startup building LLM-powered clinical tools. Working in that space taught me something most designers are still figuring out: AI products don't fail because the model is wrong — they fail because the interface doesn't build trust. I design for that gap.

At GoodRx, I built their first end-to-end telehealth subscription platform — a scalable subscriber platform powering multiple treatment lines. Before that: Sephora, Quicken, Amazon, and more.

My background started in motion design, and that foundation never left. It's why I think in stories/scenarios, micro-interactions, and system states — not just static design. I work best at companies where the goal is to reduce friction in high-stakes flows, such as making AI products feel approachable, and shipping work that's both beautiful and functional for million of users.
