Search / Shopping experience
Estee Lauder Brands
As part of the Estee Lauder capabilities team, I oversaw the global search feature for the shopping experience on the enterprise level. Our product team performed rigorous user testing, iterations of wireframe, user flows, and prototypes before taking our feature to launch.
We shipped a predictive search engine (Search 2.0) that minimalized latency to <0s and delivered the fastest real-time results. We also optimized our search results and search filtering tools to make search reliable and producing the most accurate listing results.

Business Goals
Improve Performance
There was a lack of responsiveness in the search suggestions and predictive search, where its often slower to generate results compared to competitors.
Enterprise Adaptation
Another concern was tool adoption across brands, because there wasn’t a clear cut standard for search, it was challenging to migrate from legacy to a modern search platform. This caused confusion with brands when it came to making enterprise updates.
